Fujairah: It rained hard in some parts of the UAE because of a big weather system that is moving across the country. Fujairah’s Al Taween got the rain with 47.9mm of rain on Wednesday.
The National Centre of Meteorology said that Al Taween had the rain on March 25. This shows just how bad the weather is now.
Other places in the UAE also got a lot of rain. Al Marjan in Ras Al Khaimah got 39.7mm of rain Khorfakkan in Sharjah got 33.3mm and Khatm Al Shakla in Abu Dhabi got 31.6mm.
The rain is coming from a low-pressure system that is affecting our area. This system is making the sky cloudy the temperature cooler and the wind strong. It is also making the water in the mountains flow faster. The streams and wadis are getting really full.
The National Centre of Meteorology sent out a warning about flash floods after midnight on Thursday. They said that the weather is bad in lying areas and valleys. This warning was still in effect on Friday morning as the rain kept moving across the country.
The people in charge said that the rain started in the west and then moved east. It rained in Abu Dhabi between 1am and 3am on Friday. Then it rained in Dubai, the northern coast and the southern parts of the country. By morning the rain had covered the eastern parts of the country including Al Ain and it was still raining hard.
The National Centre of Meteorology thinks that the bad weather will keep going until Friday night. They are telling people to be careful to stay away, from areas that might flood and to not go near the water in the valleys so they can stay safe.
